José Manuel Velasco has a degree in Journalism from Madrid's Complutense University and completed the Advanced Strategic Program at the Institute for Management Development (IMD) in Lausanne (Switzerland).

Mr. Velasco currently works as a PR Consultant , CEO of Santos Creativos (a company that provides content marketing for radio) and senior Advisor of Thinking Heads. He recently obtained certification as an executive coach. Until January 2015 he served as Head of Communication for several companies, the most recent being FCC, where he was member of the Executive Committee.

His work experience includes 26 years of senior positions leading communications and corporate social responsibility strategies. From June 2008 to November 2014 he was Chairman of Dircom, the leading professional body in the communications industry in Spain. He is also a board member of the GA since June 2013.
