Health and Wellbeing Month 2026: From stigma to systems

Health and Wellbeing Month 2026 marked the fifth year of the Global Alliance’s collective focus on mental health and wellbeing — and a clear evolution in ambition. This year’s programme moved decisively beyond awareness, placing workplace systems, leadership responsibility and human rights at the centre of the conversation.

Delivered under the theme From stigma to systems: building healthier professional workplaces together, the month brought members together across regions to focus on what most shapes wellbeing at work: organisational culture, leadership behaviour and everyday professional practices. Regional Councils played a central role, with Asia Pacific/ASEAN and North Africa/South Asia choosing to host regionally led webinars that reflected local legal, cultural and professional realities.

Stewards of Trust: The Ethical Mandate for Modern Communicators

Stewards of Trust: The Ethical Mandate for Modern Communicators

What does responsible communication look like when trust is fragile, technology is accelerating, and every message has consequences?

In today’s communication environment, neutrality is increasingly difficult. Trust in institutions, media, and leadership is under pressure, while digital communication - accelerated by AI - continues to reshape how messages are created, distributed, and perceived. In this context, responsible communication is no longer optional; it is a professional and ethical responsibility.

Responsible communication begins with truth, transparency, and accountability. In a landscape shaped by misinformation and polarization, communication professionals are constantly balancing speed with accuracy, persuasion with integrity, and narrative with responsibility. These choices are rarely straightforward, yet they sit at the heart of our role as stewards of trust.
