According to Gregor Halff, Global Alliance Chair, "It's a great honour to have earned the trust of our members and a privilege to be serving on a GA board that is the most diverse ever. Together, we aim to help the public relations industry strike two crucial balances: As an industry, we need to balance the need for joint global standards on the one hand, with ever more diverse practices on the other. As associations, we're balancing the traditional value of industry bodies with the need to adapt to a world that's ever more volatile and networked".
On June 26-27 2015 the Global Alliance also held a successful two-day Association Leaders' Workshop. The knowledge, skills and attributes of public relations and communications professionals were at the heart of discussions, with stage two of the ongoing Global Body of Knowledge project agreed by members. Other highlights of the weekend included a conference hosted by FERPI on Food, Sustainability & Communication and a visit to EXPO2015, a universal exhibition taking place in Milan.
