The Nigerian Institute of Public Relations' celebrates 60th anniversary hosting Diamond Colloquium, Dinner and Awards
NIPR Diamond Lifetime Achievement awarded to Prof. Justin Green, President & CEO of Global Alliance
The Nigerian Institute of Public Relations' 60th anniversary celebration gathered Public Relations leaders from across the world in Abuja, Nigeria. Among them, Prof. Justin Green, President and CEO of Global Alliance, Mr. Arik Karani, President of the African Public Relations Association (APRA), among other international guests.
The President and Chairman of Council of NIPR, Dr. Ike Neliaku said, " the Institute over the last 60 years has made significant progress in building, managing and strengthening relationships among various critical stakeholders in the Nigerian Project, stressing that the NIPR was determined to working with relevant authorities to give the country a new narrative."
The celebration featured international colloquium focusing on “Public Relations, Value Re-orientation and Economic Transformation” followed by Dinner and Award at Transcorp Hilton Hotel, Abuja.
NIPR 60th Anniversary Dinner/Award presented opportunity to reward excellence and hard to notable individuals and organisations who have in one way or the other made immense contributions to nation-building. Categories included NIPR Diamond Lifetime Achievement Award which was awarded to the President & CEO of Global Alliance, Prof. Justin Green and Global Alliance Board Member Dr. Wole Adamolekun.
As part of the Diamond Celebration, NIPR President, Dr. Ike Neliaku led a delegation comprising the Global Alliance President, Prof. Justin Green, APRA President Arik Karani, NIPR Vice President Prof. Emmanuel Dandaura, APRA Secretary-General Dr. Omoniyi Ibietan, NOA Director General Mallam Lanre Issa-Onilu, DG VON Jibrin Baba Ndace, MD NAN Ali Muhammed Ali, Chairman House of Representatives Committee on Media and Publicity, Hon. Akintunde Rotimi Jnr and other senior members of NIPR to Human Rights radio Abuja in advancement of government/citizens engagement.
An anniversary walk/cultural carnival of NIPR, spearheaded by FCT Chapter created beautiful scenes and lasting memory.
Dr. Ike Neliaku,president of NIPR led the duo of Global Alliance President & CEO, Prof. Justin Green and his African Public Relations Association (APRA) counterpart, Arik Karani to a familiarisation visit to the Minister of Information and National Orientation, Alhaji Mohammed Idris Malagi.
Also in the delegation was NIPR Vice President, Prof. Emmanuel Dandaura, immediate past APRA President, Yomi Badejoh-Okusanya (YBO) and APRA Secretary-General, Dr. Omoniyi Ibietan.
