On November 14, 2024, in Jakarta, Indonesia, Professor Justin Green, President & CEO of Global Alliance for Public Relations and Communication Management, addressed the Association of Southeast Asian Nations (ASEAN) representatives on the need for global collaboration on "Responsible Communication." This follows his address to the United Nations on July 24, 2024, where he supported global calls to establish "Responsible Communication" as the new 18th Sustainable Development Goal (SDG).

The Association of Southeast Asian Nations (ASEAN) - which brings together Brunei Darussalam, Cambodia, Indonesia, Laos, Malaysia, Myanmar, the Philippines, Singapore, Thailand, and Vietnam aims to accelerate the economic growth, social progress and cultural development in the region through joint endeavours in the spirit of equality and partnership in order to strengthen the foundation for a prosperous and peaceful community of Southeast Asian Nations.

In a recent meeting held in Bangkok, Thailand, Prof. Justin Green, President and CEO of the Global Alliance for Public Relations and Communication Management, along with Mateus Furlanetto, CAO, engaged in discussions with leading representatives from the Thailand Public Relations Association (PRTA) to endorse responsible communication practices. The meeting emphasized advancing Thai public relations on a global stage, focusing on fostering growth, supporting Thai PR and communication professionals, and promoting best practices within the industry.

Professor Justin Green, President & CEO of Global Alliance, and Mateus Furlanetto, CAO of Global Alliance, delivered an insightful presentation to public relations students at the Faculty of Communication and Arts, Chulalongkorn University, Bangkok, Thailand. Their presentation covered essential topics, including Responsible Communication, the Approaching the Future Report 2024, and the latest PR & Communication Trends and Insights from Around the World: 2024 Edition.

The Global Alliance for Public Relations and Communication Management recently concluded this year’sStudent and Young Practitioners (SYP) Month, aligning with its commitment to advancing the UN Sustainable Development Goal (SDG) on responsible communication.

The month-long event falls under the broader #NextInLine initiative, bringing to focus the development and recognition of emerging leaders to become ethical professionals in PR and communications.
