Aberje - Brazilian Association for Business Communication releases its retrospective for the year 2023 to its members.

Dear Colleagues in Communication, Associates, Members of the Advisory and Deliberative Board, Partners, and Collaborators of ABERJE,

Here is the ABERJE 2023 Retrospective. We understand that the victories described in the Retrospective are the result of the strong efforts of all of us. This assessment also reminds us that the craft and art of communication are not just tasks but a responsibility that directly influences the legitimacy and reputation of our organization. Communicating in an ethical, responsible, and authentic manner is essential to face the challenges of the contemporary world, where institutional, environmental, social, and governance issues are increasingly prominent.

Let's continue to communicate effectively, maintaining our integrity and strong technical, ethical, and aesthetic governance. Together, we can confront today's challenges and shape a more positive future for our organization and society as a whole.

Communicators, move forward with confidence and responsibility! Merry Christmas and a Happy New Year to all!

ABERJE 2023 Retrospective: The Strength of the Network in the Growing Corporate Communication Market

See everything Aberje accomplished throughout the year in its mission to strengthen communication and communicators in companies and institutions.

2023 was a challenging year in various aspects. While the world still dealt with the consequences of a war initiated last year between Russia and Ukraine, a new concerning conflict arose between Israel and Hamas. In Brazil, significant turbulence occurred in the early days of the new government, with the attempted coup on January 8. The world was also marked by extreme weather events: 2023 was the hottest year in history in 125 thousand years, according to scientists from the European Union. While COP 28, the United Nations Conference on Climate Change, provided important signals for the energy transition, there is still a long way to go (and little time to do it). Towards the end of the year, new challenges present themselves for 2024, such as the election of Javier Milei in Argentina, one of Brazil's main trading partners.

For Aberje and Brazilian Corporate Communication, it was a busy year of growth and strengthening the relevance of the field for businesses. In this context, to prepare for the challenges of 2024, Aberje has defined "Communication for Transition" as the theme for the coming year.
