The Nigerian Institute of Public Relations, NIPR, has inducted its 605 new Associate Members. At the induction ceremony held in Abuja on Thursday was the Minister of Information and National Orientation, Alh. Idris Mohammed Malagi; the Director General of Voice of Nigeria, VON, Mallam Jibrin Baba Ndace; and the President/Chairman of the NIPR Governing Council, Dr. Ike Neliaku.

The University of Johannesburg, South Africa, is hosting a hybrid webinar titled "The Evolution of PR in the Tech & AI Landscape" as part of Global Alliance Technology & Public Relations Month. The webinar will be live-streamed on May 30th from 15:30 to 17:00 (SAT) / 14:30 to 16:00 (GMT+1) Lisbon/London time.

The Global Alliance for Public Relations and Communication Management 22nd Annual General Meeting was held on Saturday 25th May in Lima, Peru. Global Alliance President Justin Green presented the 2023 Annual Report, which provided an overview of the key activities and initiatives conducted by the Global Alliance in 2023. Membership currently stands at 86 members.

In an enlightening exchange of ideas and insights, the Global Alliance for Public Relations and Communication Management Board met with the students of the Public Relations Student Society of America (PRSSA) Chapter at Universidad de San Martín de Porres (USMP) in Peru. The event, held on May 23, 2024, served as a vibrant platform for discussing the latest trends and future directions in public relations and communications.

The Global Alliance announces the celebration of Diversity, Equality, and Inclusion (DEI) Month this June 2024. In honor of this important initiative, we are hosting a series of three insightful webinars that aim to foster best practices and innovative strategies within the realms of DEI.

The recent APRA (African Public Relations Association) conference and Annual General Meeting (AGM) held in Abidjan, Ivory Coast. The event was a resounding success, bringing together leading professionals and stakeholders from across the continent to discuss key issues, share insights, and chart the future course of public relations in Africa.
