European Summit: Technology, Trends & Communication Transformation

The European Summit promoted by Global Alliance will take place during the 11th edition of InspiringPR organized by FERPI - Federazione Relazioni Pubbliche Italiana (Italian Federation of Public Relations).
InspiringPR, the Public Relations Festival promoted by FERPI – Federazione Relazioni Pubbliche Italiana (Italian Federation of Public Relations) and organized by FERPI Triveneto, returns to Venice. A unique event in the Italian communication landscape, it offers a space for connection and inspiration for communicators, professionals from both public and private organizations, as well as for those who—though not directly involved in the sector—play a role in shaping its future.

European Summit “Technology, Trends & Communication Transformations” promoted by the European Regional Council of Global Alliance for Public Relations & Communication Management. This international gathering will serve as a platform for dialogue on how AI and ethics are reshaping the communication landscape.

The Festival title, “Good times, bad times. È tempo di essere etici” (“It’s time to be ethical”), emphasizes the indispensable value of ethics in our work, especially in these times.

The Global Alliance for Public Relations and Communication Management continued its global advocacy for Responsible Communication when addressing the European Commission. Prof. Justin Green, President & CEO of the Global Alliance, highlighted the importance of global cooperation in promoting ethical and inclusive communication practices.

The engagement followed a direct request to European Commission President Ursula von der Leyen and a scheduled meeting with Director-General for Communication, Dana Spinant. The meeting was led by Sophia Eriksson Waterschoot, Deputy Director-General for Communication at the European Commission, and attended by Simona Pilko, Policy Assistant to Director for Political Communication, along with Mateus Furlanetto, Chief Administrative Officer of Global Alliance.

Policy 2 of the Global Alliance bylaws (Board Director Nominations & Nomination Committee), outlines the role and duties undertaken by the Nomination Committee in reviewing nominations received and the process for the election of members to the Executive Board, as conducted by the General Assembly of Global Alliance for Public Relations and Communication Management.

The committee has carried out its work with the aim of ensuring that the Global Alliance nomination process is transparent, open and fair.

Polish Public Relations Association with a new board. Karolina Łuczak is elected president

The Polish Public Relations Association (PSPR) has elected the new board for the years 2025-2027. The new president of the PSPR, Karolina Łuczak, emphasises that her priority will be the further integration of the environment and the development of the association as a space for the exchange of knowledge and the building of PR standards. The board also includes Renata Poreda, Maciej Krzysztoszek, Paweł Siedlecki and Luiza Jurgiel-Żyła.

On 8 March 2025, the general meeting of PSPR members decided that Karolina Łuczak, communications director and spokeswoman for Provident Polska, would be the organisation's president for the coming term. She succeeded Cyprian Maciejewski in this position, who left the board after six years.

Following a thorough and highly competitive evaluation, the selection process was exceptionally challenging due to the outstanding quality of all submissions.

The WPRF 2026 will take place in Abuja, Nigeria, hosted by the Nigerian Institute of Public Relations (NIPR). This remarkable achievement highlights NIPR’s dedication to excellence in public relations and its growing influence on the global stage.

Global Alliance for Public Relations and Communication Management announces its Annual General Meeting will take place at The Human Safety Net Palace, Piaza San Marco, 105, 30124 Venice, Italy on Thursday 15th May 2025 at 18.00 CET time/17.00 Lisbon/London time (GMT).
All members who wish to attend the Annual General Meeting (AGM) must register by 1st May, 17.00 GMT to secure their participation. Registration is mandatory to ensure proper arrangements and access to meeting materials. Please complete your registration by emailing cao@globalalliancepr.org before the deadline.

Should you be unable to attend the AGM in person, we would appreciate it if you could submit your proxy form to appoint a voting delegate as your proxy. You may delegate this authority to the Global Alliance President, Prof. Justin Green, a Board Member, or another delegate in good standing who will be attending the meeting. The Proxy Form must be submitted to the Global Alliance’s registered office by emailing cao@globalalliancepr.org no later than Friday, 9th May 2025, at 17:00 GMT.
